I find the best way to approach people in general is to break
the ice by simply asking, “What do you do for a living?”
This establishes two things. First, your prospect will talk
about him- or herself. Everybody LOVES to talk about themselves!
Secondly, it opens up the conversation naturally back to you in
the predictable response, “And what do YOU do for a living?”
Personally, I tell them “I’m a part-time dentist but I also run a
Home Business.” This usually brings more questions, as people
are naturally inquisitive creatures.
I then tell them, “I teach people how to earn extra money by
drinking fruit juice.” That’s it. Ice broken. Now the ball is in
your court. Time to invite!
